A TIMELESS ELEGANCE

I believe that there is always a timeless elegance to anything so very carefully and thoughtfully made. I am always in 'aesthetic arrest' when I see people pour their time and heart and talent to create something that's just beautiful. For someone like me who is very passionate about patternmaking and sewing, I really appreciate the quality of handwork in this and many other couture pieces, as well as the opportunities and inspiration they create for people.

FIRST GARMENT WITH BELLE

The first garment I made with Belle (my Juki high-speed sewing machine) was this lined vest worn by Elgie to one of their corporate events two weeks ago. I didn't manage to snap a solo photo of the finished vest so I'm sharing these photos (one sent by Elgie and another photo of vest-in-progress in the studio) in the meantime. smile emoticon

By the way, Elgie's look styled ‪#‎byLouberry‬also. Hehe!

Happy Chinese New Year!! 🎊

PILLOW FOR THE LAWYER

Ms. Harper Lee, author of the book "To Kill a Mockingbird," will be publishing her second novel at age 88. This news brought me back to the time I made this custom-made pillow for a family of lawyers. Yes! And the baby's name is Attyquo, which to me is just awesome because it closely resembles the name Atticus Finch, the lawyer in "To Kill a Mockingbird."

By the way, the book is as amazing and as ageless as its author. Go figure. :)

Love,
Louberry
