MEET ZOOEY.

One December morning, two years ago, I woke up to this by my bed side. A gift from my dad. I named it Zooey. Kinda not so revealing about one of my favorite indie folk bands, eh? (Oh, and I actually also named my ukulele Zooey too...Is that, uhm, too un-creative?). I initially wanted to create clothes that tell the story of youth and independence and good song-writing skills rolled into modern, underrated, yet stunning fashion. I call it contemporary old-fashioned. Or something like that. "I'll just keep it to myself...in the sun...in the sun." A nd so, with this amazing human invention on my work table, and indie folk music lulling me into creativesphere, my sewing escapades began. Hasta luego. With handmade love,  

A BACK-STORY.

I begin my story with a back-story of my passion for creating stuff. Here goes my first entry, DIY Love , previously posted on my life blog, LOVE WRITE NOW , just last year. Daisy Flower by Man & His Cam Everyday there’s always something new I want to learn. People oftentimes frown upon that attitude—restlessness. I don’t. I embrace it with an open heart. I wallow in it and swim and lose myself in it. What I do notice is that everything  I want to learn and do has something to do with creating something by hand. Food. Dresses. Stories. Poems. Music. Crafts. Images. Today I had an epiphany and asked myself, ‘Is this what I love doing?” I felt every nerve and muscle in my body jump in unison to cry ‘YES!’ Then my mind drifted back to that time in childhood when I would literally pick up scraps of almost anything I find at home, refusing to throw anything my siblings or my mum would call trash simply because I knew I could create something out
